PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Share this project:

You can only go forward and up, never back or down. Collect gems to get to your goal at the end. View the scene in full before zooming in to start.

This is a hopefully successful beta upload. This is 2nd beta version, and another beta update should be out within week's time.

Feedback is greatly appreciated! I hope to see you guys in the comments section!

VERSION 1.1

Last Updated: September 21, 2022

Just a minor updating fixing many collision errors, adding clouds, and swappping the score count for a progress bar. The progress bar must be full in order for you to beat the level - if it's not, you will just have to play the level over and get all the gems.

This is the 2nd beta update. I'm looking forward to any type of feedback and am not limited to the feedback I specifically asked for last time. Please enjoy!

Can u make the player a bit faster?

November 17, 2016

Sure, I'll look into that.

Starting from now on, I will mark each update by one comment - this update's comment is, well, it's right here! Hope you guys like this game so far!

K so next you should make the player a bit faster, at the speed it is now it's quite slow and you're just pressing a button waiting for the player to get somewhere, fix up the worlds a bit so that when the screen is zoomed out you don't see random floating blocks n stuff (mostly in lvl 1) and you could give the player a more realistic graphic. Could also add some more levels too 😊.

November 09, 2016

Hmm maybe I don't know about moving faster, just played it to see and it's not too bad.

November 09, 2016

Thank! Ha ha, I made the floating blocks on purpose. What I really need going is some animation. And I need to make it clear when you don't have enough gems to win. Next update may actaully have another level or 2.

November 09, 2016

Really, the random blocks of dirt around on level 1? Lol they look like a mistake, you could change the way they look so they do look like floating islands.

November 09, 2016

Oh ok XD! I'll do just that!

November 06, 2016

The arrows didn't become visible when I reached the second level, so I only got to play the first. It's an interesting idea for a puzzle game, but if the player can only move in two directions, I find it hard to see how you could make the levels challenging...

November 06, 2016

I'm planning on adding specific trampolines and/or collectables that either switch the direction of your arrows so you can go the other way and/or bounce you that way. I'm also planning on adding enemies, a time limit, and maiing it neccesary for you to collect all gems in a level. Do you think that'll work?

@DGames135 suggested using a joystick. Do you think that would be better?

November 06, 2016

How come the arrows weren't visible when you reached the 2nd level? Did you press the screen to zoom in? It works perfectly fine on my end.

November 06, 2016

Works fine, the graphics make the movement look very strange though, like moving through walls and flying mid air, should make it not able to move through walls and make the player something with wings or something that looks like flying.

November 06, 2016

Yes, that's all coming in the next update as long as I continue with this. As I've been saying, not worth perfecting until I decide whether I'm going to stick with it or not.

November 07, 2016

It works now, but I'm pretty sure I tapped all over the screen... maybe I tapped while it was still frozen and then waited after it unfroze and that's why it didn't work...

November 07, 2016

@Aidan Oxley no more collision errors and such bugs. Added some other minor features as well.

November 06, 2016

I think there should be a joystick and use the slide to left and down to instantly kill the player and up and right to use move by

November 06, 2016

Hmmm, I'll think about it. If I continue with this, I was thinking of sometimes switching the direction of the arrow so the player could go the other way. It would be hard to express this change with a joystick.

November 06, 2016

I could help you if you let me branch it or send it by email so the changes will be in the next update

November 06, 2016

No thanks, it's ok. Thank you for the feedback. What I'm most focused on right now, though, is whether I should continue or not. Is the concept worth working with, do you think?

November 06, 2016

Well maybe you should continue. You never know what can come from little. That's how I found out on gamepress. 😀😀😀😊😋

November 06, 2016

Ok, thanks man!
